Clarksville, Virginia, Food Pantry
Volunteers
Who Operates the Pantry?
The Pantry is operated by volunteers from ten local churches, the Lions' Club, and other individuals who are committed to being the best possible stewards of the donated and purchased food and assisting each client in securing part of their food needs. Each time the Pantry is open, a minimum of 4-5 volunteers are present to distribute the items.

In addition, individuals serve in various capacities: Entering and recording client data in the database, picking up donated supplies from Food Lion and Dollar General Store, picking up produce, packing food boxes, unloading Feedmore delivery trucks, ordering supplies from Food Lion, shopping for supplemental groceries, weighing and recording donations, and much, much more.

THANKSGIVING COMMUNITY DINNER
We are delighted to serve Clarksville to be a better community. These established programs demonstrate the need of nourishment for the food insecure population in our area.
As you can see, there are three areas that require your time, talents and compassion for those in need, but your reward will be a heartfelt story from a client, a smile or hug from a child or sharing a meal with a new acquaintance.
If your church is volunteering already, speak with your church contact for more information. If your church or someone you know would like to be part of this worthwhile mission, reach out to the contacts below.
